Finding My Voice
When I arrived in Los Angeles to study at the New York Film Academy, I didn't look like someone who belonged in the entertainment industry. I didn't carry myself with confidence, I didn't know how to present myself, and although I was fluent in English, the way I spoke rarely held anyone's attention. I often faded into the background, both personally and professionally. Looking back, I realized the problem wasn't my English. It was the way I expressed myself.
Rebuilding Myself
I made a decision to completely rebuild myself. During my student years, I trained under some of the best acting, voice, and performance coaches in the United States. Every day was dedicated to refining my voice, body language, and delivery. What I didn't expect was that changing my voice and body language changed far more than the way I spoke. It changed the way I carried myself, presented myself, and walked into every room.
Putting It to the Test
I took these lessons beyond the classroom and applied them in the real world. I worked as an award winning actor and producer, cofounded a finance startup, and later joined my family's construction business. Each experience exposed me to completely different environments. Whether collaborating with leaders at Zerodha, Groww, and Fyers or working with clients such as Reliance, Adani, JSW, and GFL, I saw the same lesson everywhere. The fundamentals of communication remain the same, regardless of the industry.
Finding My Purpose
As fluent English became more common in India, I realized that speaking English was no longer enough. People needed to go beyond fluency to capture attention, hold attention, and communicate with intention. I spent years learning these fundamentals from some of the best voice, body language, and performance coaches in the United States and applying them across different industries. That's why I created Impact Speaking: to teach the fundamentals of voice, body language, and structured thinking that transformed my own life.
